About Me

In my family, cooking has always been our love language. My favorite dish growing up and still today is my mom’s stuffed peppers. No matter how many times I made them in my own kitchen, they never tasted quite like hers. I’d ask her questions, try different brands of ingredients, and adjust measurements…still not the same.

During one of our last times together, we decided I would make the recipe while she called out each step. When we sat down to taste it, my parents and I agreed. It was close, but not hers. I started cleaning up and she said, “Oh! I forgot one thing.” Without missing a beat, she told me to check the second shelf of the spice cabinet, back left corner.

She had intentionally kept one ingredient secret!

She did this not to protect a recipe, but to make sure I kept coming home. That moment shaped how I think about cooking. Recipes matter, but the company and experiences matter more.

Over the years, I expanded my culinary knowledge, experimenting with new ingredients, honing my techniques, and collecting recipes from different cultures and traditions. Cooking became one of my creative outlets, a way to express myself and to bring people together around the table. As my skills and repertoire grew, I realized that I wanted to do more than just cook for myself, friends, and family. I wanted to share what I had learned with others.

Now, sharing that feeling is one of my favorite things to do. I create welcoming, playful cooking experiences that show home chefs cooking is not intimidating. It is joyful, creative, and meant to be shared with others.
